Prima Ballerina
I have no idea how a dancer can simply stand and appear weightless and graceful. Unless it’s the astonishing work ethic and passion to create what seems impossibly beautiful. Maybe it’s DNA.

Before Curtain
The unnamed moment before performance is as real as it is transient and beyond description.

Paquita #3
“Paquita” is the title role of an 1846 ballet, a Spanish Gypsy girl abducted as an infant from noble birth. After saving the life a young officer in Napoleon’s Army and a few plot twists, she discovers her birthright and marries the Officer. I love happy endings, especially when they are danced this beautifully. Paquita #2
As a ballet, “Paquita” is a written for ballerina soloes. A very good idea.

Paquita #1
This young lady is dancing a role in “Paquita”. Her smile, required for the role, is genuine.

Grandeur
Theater, especially Ballet, is capable of grandeur.

Young Anastasia
This young lady is one of two who danced the role of the young “Anastasia”, a production of the Ballet and Jazz Companies of the Cary Ballet Conservatory. I’m a few days into editing a digital mountain of rehearsal and performance photographs. When I reach one like this, my productivity falls off, dramatically.
